Composer/ Producer Nir Averbuch is owner of Muzikhead Productions, where he scores and records music for film, TV and commercials and produce albums and re-mixes for major and independent artists and labels.

Nir’s recent compositions include music for Alfred Hitchcock's "Secret Agent" and the classic horror movie "Night Of The Living Dead", which sound-tracks' were completely remade and transformed into a wacky urban comedy (2003 York Entertainment), Original music score for the award winning documentary film "One of Us" by Rina T. King, Electronica albums (FirstCom Music/ BMG), which are being used by major film and tv studios around the globe (most recently used in the TV show Access Hollywood), as well as commercials for AIG, Avis, Honda, Clarity, American Express, Microsoft, Merck, Intuit, Disney Store and EarthLink, and the original theme music for the "Tim Chip and Lisa" radio show on Sacramento’s KXOA 93.7 FM.

Nir was born in Kishinev, Moldova in 1971, to a family of artists. At the age of 5, Nir had his first piano lesson in the Kishinev Conservatory of Music. In 1978, the family migrated to Israel, where at age 16 he became the house composer/ producer of his hometown’s local studio. At age 18, Nir produced his first commercial album and three years later he received his first Gold Record award for programming and co-producing a major label album of the international artist Shlomo Gronich and the Sheba Choir. Nir’s decision to migrate to the U.S. in 1997 evolved from his need to expand professionally and experience world-class music composition and audio production.Nir began his new music career at Sound Designers Studio in Manhattan, where he soon became the main engineer. Nir worked on the award winning TV series "Law & Order", "New York Undercover" and the feature film "Bound", as well as Broadway shows such as John Leguizamo’s "Freak", Paul Simon’s "The Cape Man", "The Sunshine Boys" and more.
In 1999, after Nir established his own studio in Manhattan where he produced various artists and commercials, he relocated to Los Angeles to co-found Dynamics Direct Inc., where he served as the Director of Audio and Music Productions and co-developed the company’s proprietary audio technology, which enables personalized rich-media commercials to stream directly into one’s e-mail.

Recently, Nir relocated Muzikhead Productions back to Tel-Aviv, Israel, where he continues to provide cutting-edge music production services to his US clients through innovative internet technologies as well as to local labels, artists and ad agencies.
